Everyone enjoys a small dog that can crawl up in their lap and cuddle, but many people aren't aware that there are also many benefits to having large dog breeds. There are benefits to both small and large dog breeds, but big dogs have certain benefits over smaller dogs.

The first benefit of big dogs is quite simple. While they crave attention just as much as a small dog, you don't have to spend your time constantly bending down to pet them. Big dogs are tall enough that they come up to your hip and you simply give them a pat on the head as attention.
